Resolved Question: Where can I go backpacking in Colorado for free?

I know that at most national parks in colorado you have to pay for a permit or pay a reservation fee in order to go backpacking in that park. I would just like to find a great place in the mountains to go hiking for about 3-4 days and not have to spend any extra money.
